Canpure Outside-in Membrane Module features large membrane area per module, strong anti-fouling 

capacity, high chemical resistance and large flux under low pressure. The membrane can effectively reduce 

the turbidity of the raw water, remove suspended solids, colloids, microorganisms and other substances, 

and it is characterized by high adaptability to varieties of raw water, easy operation and maintenance, as 

well as stable and reliable quality of produced water.

“Complex Thermally Induced Phase Separation” (c-TIPS) PVDF UF membrane

/ patented technology /

Canpure PVDF Outside-in UF membrane is made by Canpure’ s patented c-TIPS technology. It has capillary 

strength about 3 times higher than PVDF membrane prepared by NIPS Method and much better filtration 

grade than PVDF membrane prepared by conventional TIPS Method.

Permanent hydrophilic property / patented technology /

During the preparation of Canpure Outside-in UF membrane, hydrophilic substances are added and special 

cross-linking technique is applied, endowing the permanent hydrophilic property of the capillary, more 

stable product water flux, improved anti-fouling property and better cleaning recovery.

High anti-oxidation performance

Canpure PVDF Outside-in UF membrane features high crystallinity, can tolerate oxidant with higher 

concentration, and thus can achieve more profound cleaning effect and longer life.

High strength and large flux

Canpure Outside-in UF membrane has a capillary strength of higher than 10 MPa,standard produced water 

flux 400L/m²•h•bar at 25℃.

Unique aeration structure

Canpure Outside-in UF membrane adopts unique aeration device inside the module, ensuring more even 

aeration and better air cleaning effect.

Integrated bundles of fibers / patented technology /

Membrane capillaries in Canpure Outside-in UF membrane module are evenly distributed inside the 

module by integrating 18 sub-bundles.

Soft Potting / patented technology /

The soft potting technique invented by Canpure realizes the flexible connection between the “root” of the 

capillaries and the soft layer of the potting material, and prevents the break of the root of the capillaries.

Features of CPO Series outside-in UF module

The performances of the membranes made by the c-TIPS method are superior to that made by the NIPS 

or the classical TIPS method using the same materials. It can greatly solve the problem of the membrane’s 

easy broken. The CPO membrane modules offer the following features:

formation technologies and unique module structures that provide superior 

filtration efficiency and durability.

2.Robust membrane (patented technology)

Canpure CPO membrane is made by the c-TIPS technology which endows the membrane with high 

crystallinity. As result, the membrane is good at chemical resistance, mechanical strength and longer life 


3.Permanently hydrophilic membrane (proprietary technology)

The operation flux of most UF or MF membrane products is much lower than their initial flux resulting 

from the loss of membrane hydrophilicity by polymer reconfiguration. Canpure PVDF UF membrane 

remains permanent hydrophilic and thus, offers steady flux.

4.Oxidation-inert membrane

Capure CPO Series membrane modules can be cleaned thoroughly by strong oxidant because of the 

chemical inertness of PVDF polymer.

5.Air lift recirculation (patented technology)

An air diffuser is installed inside this series of Canpure membrane modules so that air may be evenly 

distributed around membrane capillaries. Water is “carried” upward by this air flow and “drained” 

downward through a central pipe and such as to create a water recirculation current. This Air Lift 

Recirculation (ALR) current may greatly reduce membrane fouling.

6.Soft potting (patented technology)

The “roots” of the capillaries (hollow fibers) are the weakest portions in membrane modules, and may be 

broken during operation. These portions of membranes in Canpure UF modules are protected by a layer of 

soft potting material.

7.Low operation pressure

Typically, Canpure CPO membrane is designed to be run at pressure as low as

0.02MPa (3.0 psi) to produce enough water.

8.Better permeate distribution(for steady flux)

The “sub-unit” arrangement of the capillary membrane in a Canpure UF module offers a better distribution 

of water flow in the module.
